This mini-course teaches how to identify and calculate roll angles used to orient fittings and offsets during pipe fabrication and fit‑up. It is designed for learners in pipefitting/fabrication contexts who need consistent methods for interpreting isometrics and verifying orientation before fit.

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

  • Define roll angle and explain why it matters for fit‑up accuracy.

  • Interpret isometric drawings to determine roll orientation.

  • Calculate roll angle using step‑by‑step methods and verify results.

  • Apply roll calculations to a realistic fabrication scenario and justify decisions.

The course is organized into two short lessons, two instructional videos, a discussion forum, an authentic shop‑floor simulation assignment, and a final scorable quiz. Estimated completion time: ~45–75 minutes. Basic familiarity with angles and simple shop math is recommended. Complete activities in order for best results.
